Dear Parents/Carers
Thank you to those people who responded to the email that was sent out last night.
I am writing to clarify a few matters after a number of questions which have been raised with regard to the enforced school closure.
- If you are a key worker and a lone parent, should you choose for your children to be in school, they need to attend only on the days you are working. We will need to be informed of the specific days that you are working so that we can make suitable arrangements.
- If you are a key worker who has a partner or family member who is not in the vulnerable group, your child will not be expected to attend school.
- School hours will remain the same and we will still operate our breakfast and after school club.
- For pupils who fall into the other identified categories, their families will be informed.
- For pupils who are eligible for free school meals, vouchers will be issued and more information on how this will be achieved will be sent out as soon as possible.
- School will be closed to all other pupils effective from Monday 23rd March 2020 until further notice.
As you can appreciate, all the above measures have been put in place to enable social distancing and keep everyone, including the staff who work in the school, safe.
I would like to thank those parents who have volunteered their support at this very difficult time.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Carolyn Doherty
Headteacher
